Coaching is distinct from consulting, mentoring, training, counselling, therapy, mediation, and clinical mental health services. These services may be valuable in the right situation, but they are not the same as coaching.

Confidentiality in sponsored coaching.
When coaching is sponsored by an organization, individual coaching conversations remain confidential. Progress reporting is typically limited to participation, agreed objectives, relevant indicators, and overall progress against engagement goals unless the participant explicitly chooses to share more.
